Cristiari Blanc 2018
Availability: In stock
The 2018 vintage of this Spanish white wine from DO Costers del Segre has had its composition changed. This time, Cristiari Blanc is made from blend of two trans-Pyrenean varieties, Müller-Thurgau and Incroccio Manzoni (a crossing of Riesling and Pinot Blanc, mostly planted in the Italian region of Veneto).
First the grapes of this white wine from Costers del Segre were gently crushed and destemmed. Then only 60% of the resulting juice was used to make Cristiari Blanc 2018. Racked by gravity, alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16ºC.
Drink until 2020.
Bright and clean, this white wine Cristiari Blanc has a straw yellow colour with faint greenish nuances.
|Nose||Both original and delicate, with some intense notes of wild flowers and fruits, along with some notes of herbs and a subtle mineral echo. The blend of Müller-Thurgau & Incroccio Manzoni results in a truly unconventional nose.|
Young and fresh, this white wine by Vall de Baldomar is also delicate and smooth and very pleasant. Remembrances of citrus and pears, some mineral hints and a crisp acidity. Lingering finish and a lemony, flowery aftertaste.
|Our personal opinion||
The wine Cristiari Blanc 2018 is a well-balanced white wine made by the Vall de Baldomar winery from a rare combination of grapes. A suggestive option.
