Red Wine Cristiari d'Alòs 2019
Availability: In stock
This interesting Spanish red wine was vinified following an interesting procedure. After being harvested and destemmed, the grapes were crushed and the "free-run" juice was cooled before fermentation.
Once alcoholic fermentation was completed, this red wine from Costers del Segre was macerated for a short period of time. Then it was transferred into French oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic fermentation.
After that, Cristiari d'Alòs 2019 was aged for 2 months in the barrels.
Pair it with cold cuts and aged cheese.
The Spanish red wine Cristiari d'Alòs has an intense cherry colour with a garnet rim.
This varietal Merlot smells of red berries, vegetables and spices, nuanced by remembrances of vanilla, clove, eucalyptus, dry earth and mineral.
Medium-bodied and nicely balanced, with plenty of freshness and good grip. This wine of Vall de Baldomar conveys notes spices and toast, underscored by remembrances of red fruit, garrigue and balsam. A wine from Costers del Segre with some mild tannins, good acidity and long finish.
|Our personal opinion||
The young Spanish red wine Cristiari d'Alòs 2019 is certainly drinkable and characterful. We suggest combining it with a nice pair of scrambled eggs with sausage.
