Produced by Casa Gran del Siurana, Cruor is a Spanish red wine made in the DOQ Priorat from vines grown in the characteristic slate soils of the region. Casa Gran del Siurana, incidentally, is a branch of Grupo Perelada.
Separately harvested according to the variety, this Priorat red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, the wine was blended and aged for 15 months in half new and half 2nd year French oak barrels.
Drink Cruor 2016 from now until 2024.
Decant this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.
The red wine Cruor has a medium-high cherry-coloured robe with a crimson rim.
This intense red wine by Casa Gran del Siurana combines in an harmonious way aromas of ripe black fruit, cocoa and spices with suggestions of liquorice, tobacco and flowers, displayed over a toasted and mineral background.
Juicy, deep and intense, this red wine from Priorat exhibits some resounding mineral notes, remembrances of mulberries and blackcurrants, and suggestions of sweet spices, smoke and underbrush. Very good acidity, with a smooth texture and a long, earthy finish.
