Red Wine Cune Reserva 2017
Availability: In stock
A classic among classics, Cune Reserva from La Rioja is crafted by one the oldest and most prestigious wineries of the region: the Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, better known as CVNE or Cune, established in 1879 in the town of Haro, La Rioja's wine capital.
Made from 85% Tempranillo, this red wine from La Rioja is complemented with a 15% of Mazuela, Graciano and Grenache.
After a meticulous selection process, the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked for 10 days in stainless steel tanks.
After finishing alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, this Spanish red wine was transferred into French and American oak barrels and aged for 18 months.
Gently clarified, Cune Reserva 2017 was then bottled and aged for a minimum of 12 months before its commercial release.
Decant this reserva red wine 30 minutes before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Cune Reserva is medium ruby with some maroon tinges. |

Nose | This blend of Tempranillo, Mazuela, Grenache and Graciano has a textbook Rioja nose. Cranberries and raspberries, with aromas of vanilla, toffee and coco, coming from the aging in wood. |
Palate | Smooth and well balanced, this wine from Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE) has a solid structure, silky tannins and a crisp acidity. Long finish, with some balsamic remembrances, and hints of tobacco leaves and wet undergrowth. |
Our personal opinion | The delightful Cune Reserva 2017 will make an excellent pairing with cured meats and casseroles. A stunning value indeed. |
