Born in the very heart of the DOQ Priorat, near the Siurana river, this Spanish red wine has nonetheless an uncommon composition.
Harvested by hand and meticulously selected, the grapes were fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks.
Then this Crianza red wine was transferred into Hungarian oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 14 months.
Finally, this De Muller Les Pusses 2016 of the De Muller winery was aged for some months in the cellar before hitting the market.
We suggest that you decant this Priorat red wine 1 hour before drinking.
The red wine De Muller Les Pusses is bright cherry with a garnet rim.
At first, this blend of Merlot and Syrah shows vivid notes of red and black fruit over a delicately floral background. Next, we find some toasted overtones and remembrances of garrigue, sweet spices, leather and tobacco leaves.
Bold and well-balanced,this wine of the De Muller winery has a smooth texture and a savoury character. Liquor-infused fruit, some spicy notions, remembrances of violets, underbrush and cocoa. Lively tannins, good freshness and long, mineral finish.
