Red wine from Bajo Aragón. Blend of 6 varieties aged for 36 months in French oak barrels.
Availability: In stock
A blend of 6 varieties, Venta d’Aubert Ventus Magnum is a complex, savoury Spanish red wine made principally from Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented with lesser amounts of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Monastrell and Syrah.
Farmed according to the principles of organic farming, the vineyards belong to the designation VT Bajo Aragón. Some years ago, the Venta d’Aubert winery started a a process of soil regeneration using vegetal compost and animal manure, following the guidelines of biodynamic agriculture.
Harvested by hand at their optimal ripening state, the grapes were destemmed and macerated with the skins for a brief period of 7 days in order not to extract too much tannins. Then this Crianza red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and transferred into French oak barrles, where it was aged for 3 years. Finally, Venta d’Aubert Ventus 2015 Magnum was refreshed with a small amount of Grenache, which had been aged in stainless steel tanks for 12 months.
We suggest that you decant this Magnum red wine from Bajo Aragón some time before you drink it.
