Details

A limited production Spanish red wine from DO Ribeira Sacra, Aba Solleira Mencía Selección Personal is crafted by the family-run winery Aba Solleira from old Mencía vines over 80 years old.

The low-yielding vineyards are located on the vertiginous slopes of the Miño river canyon, an area composed of slate soils and located at approximately 300 metres of altitude.

The hand-harvested grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, Aba Solleira Mencía Selección Personal 2018 was transferred into 500-litre French oak barrels and aged for 15 months before its bottling.

This one-of-a-kind artisan red wine from Ribeira Sacra has a considerable ageing potential. Pair with meat recipes.

Bear in mind that the production of this Crianza red wine is ridiculously low: just 660 bottles.

Really distinctive and nuanced. Very Burgundian, terroir really comes across here. It will peak in 3-4 years.
