Details
For many Spaniards, this sweet white wine brings back memories of the Holy Communion. A very important tradition for Catholics, the Holy Communion is a rite of passage during which they receive the Eucharist for the first time.
However, one does not need to belong to the Catholic church to enjoy this delightful wine. De Muller is a winery of Tarragona that has cultivated and produced this wine in the exact same manner over the last 150 years following the same guidelines as set by none other than The Vatican itself.
Crafted from White Grenache and Macabeo that have been planted in small plots and retain very high sugar levels. The grapes are then fermented at controlled temperatures and aged in oak barrels with “criaderas y solera” sediment rotations.
This Spanish "church wine" De Muller has a long life ahead of it.
This wine is perfect to enjoy alone, but we would also recommend trying it with fresh bakery goods and dry fruits.

This nose has a smoky background with wooden notes that are entwined with ripe candied fruits, unique raisins, oranges. There are also hints of caramel, honey, all against white floral aromatics. |
| Palate | Elegant and enticing, this sweet white wine from White Grenache & Macabeo has a good entrance that is very sweet and has a smooth passage that is silky and very pleasant. Dried peach notes entwine with dates, dry fruits, and light spices. A finish that is not very persistent but leaves a pleasant toasty aftertaste on the palate. |

strange
Very idiosyncratic and curious wine. A kind of Oloroso with a Mediterranean twist. Interesting.
