Product Description
Details

The white wine Fillaboa is solely produced from Albariño, Spain's most prestigious white variety.

The grapes are sorted from 70 hectares of estate vineyards planted with 15 to 30-year-old vines all along the banks of the Miño river. Composed mostly of sand, soils are covered with abundant pebble stones.

Produced in DO Rías Baixas, this Spanish white wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks for over a period of 20 days and then aged on its lees for 6 months.

Finally, Fillaboa 2022 was filtered and cold-stabilized before its bottling.

This is a refreshingly unoaked, yet substantial white wine from Rías Baixas.

Pair with creamy cheeses, smoked goods and exotic cuisine.

Appearance

The wine Fillaboa is pale yellow with some steely and greenish glints.

Nose

This varietal Albariño smells of pears, golden apples, pineapple, fennel, aniseed and freshly cut grass.

Palate

Light and fresh, this white wine from Bodegas Fillaboa has a delicately unctuous touch and a crisp, refreshing acidity. Notes of bitter almonds, white fruit, a dash of honey and remembrances of bitter herbs. Medium, slightly bitter finish.

Our personal opinion

The wine Fillaboa 2022 will improve in the bottle for some time.

Grassy and slightly tropical, with a flinty note to round it off.
