Details

This is the new vintage of Juan Gil Etiqueta Amarilla, the entry-level Spanish red wine from Bodega Juan Gil.

Coming from DO Jumilla, this varietal Monastrell is sorted from over 40-year-old organically grown vineyards situated at roughly 700 metres above sea level.

Meticulously handpicked and vinified in stainless steel tanks, after finishing malolactic fermentation Juan Gil Etiqueta Amarilla 2022 was aged for 4 months in French and American oak barrels.

This well-known vegan red wine from Jumilla is excellent both without food and with tapas and casual food.

Nose

This varietal Monastrell from Jumilla is full of intense balsamic aromas, notes of red fruit, violets, Jamaica pepper, cardamom, and some delicately sweet notes over a background reminiscent of dry herbs.

Palate

Fleshy and bold on the palate, this young red wine from Juan Gil carries loads of red fruit, with a spicy fleck and some balsamic hints. The texture is silky and supple, with a refreshing acidity and a long finish.
