Produced in Terra Alta, southern Catalonia, Lafou El Sender is made from an interesting blend of Grenache, Syrah and the indigenous, recently recovered Morenillo.
Increasingly used by winemakers, Morenillo is a grape that produces remarkably fresh, delicate wines.That's always a treasurable quality, but even more so in Terra Alta, where summers are very hot.
The grapes were hand harvested. Then this Spanish red wine from LaFou Celler was vinified in stainless steel tanks.
Destemmed and gently crushed, after the completion of alcoholic fermentation Lafou El Sender 2020 was aged for 6 months in 300-litre Central European oak barrels.

| Our personal opinion | Very well crafted, with a judiciously restrained use of wood, the little-known Lafou El Sender 2020 has a distinctive character and great drinkability. |

Incredible wine for the price. Full-bodied but also very fresh -is it the Morenillo? Very good with meat.
