The top-shelf sparkling wine Llopart Ex Vite Brut is produced by Cavas Llopart, a founding member of the Corpinnat association of quality sparkling wine producers.
Easily recognizable by its metallic label, this Spanish sparkling wine is made from a blend of 90-year-old Xarel·lo vines (60%) & 70-year-old Macabeo (40%), sourced from Les Flandes, the oldest and most representative vineyard of the winery, located in the outskirts of Subirats del Penedès.
Once alcoholic fermentation had been completed, the base wine of this Corpinnat Brut sparkling wine was aged in oak barrels for some time.
Then this organic sparkling wine was bottled and, after going through secondary fermentation, it was aged for a minimum of 96 months in the cellar.
Finally, the sparkler Llopart Ex Vite Brut 2014 was added a tiny amount of shipping liquor, crafted from a blend of the best Xarel·lo wines and an old Champenoise formula dating from the late XIXth century.
Very limited production.

| Palate | Again, this sparkling wine of Cavas Llopart winery is surprisingly lively, with a spectacular acidity, an intricate texture and tiny bubbles which caress the palate. Toast, dry fruit, white flowers, rosemary, laurel... Complex and with a serious potential for improvement, this Corpinnat brut has a very long finish, with a mineral and zesty tang. |

Marvelously confident and structured, with real depth, grace and poise. The 2007 vintage will drink beautifully till 2025.
