The confidential wine Llàgrimes del Priorat is produced by the family winery Celler Crivellé i Valls, based in Poboleda, in the coolest area of DOQ Priorat.
A blend of Grenache, Samsó (aka Carignan), Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, this Spanish red wine is sourced from terraced vineyards with the typical llicorella (slate) soils which define the identity of the region.
The grapes were hand-picked separately fermented according to the variety in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. Then the red wine Llàgrimes del Priorat 2022 was transferred into French and American oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
Once bottled, this Crianza red wine was aged for a minimum of 8 months before being released onto the market.
Pair with meat recipes, roasts and oily fish dishes.
Don't be put off by its nondescript label! This red wine from Priorat is definitely a fantastic value with a good ageing potential.

Noteworthy Priorat
The 2021 is young and a bit restless, it needs some time to settle. However, judging from previous vintages I can say that this is one the best Priorat values you are likely to find.
