Details
One of the best-known wines from Ribera del Duero, Pago de los Capellanes Crianza is a varietal Tempranillo.
This expressive Spanish red wine from bodega Pago de los Capellanes is produced from vines 35 years old on average located in the villages of Pedrosa del Duero, La Horra and Gumiel de Mercado, at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
Meticulously harvested, the grapes were selected on site. Once in the cellar, they were fermented with indigenous yeasts with daily pump-overs and punch-downs.
After a period of about a month, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was drawn off to complete malolactic fermentation.
Finally, Pago de los Capellanes Crianza 2021 was aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels.
Aerate this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.
