Details
A varietal Spanish red wine produced by the young winemakers Mariona Vendrell and Albert Canela, the wine Succés El Mentider is solely made from Trepat, a variety indigenous to the southern Catalan region of Conca de Barberà.
The Trepat grape produces highly characteristic, peppery, deliciously drinkable wines. As if that were not enought, this wine from the Succés Vinícola winery is produced from old vines over 100 years of age.
After a traditional vinification and a long maceration process, this red wine from Conca de Barberà was aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
The red wine Succés El Mentider 2018 proves that the Trepat variety can be used to craft distinctively elegant red wines.
Decant this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking, or at least aerate the wine a little.
