Availability: Out of stock
In the international wine scene, there is a growing consensus that Priorat probably produces the best Carignan wines in the world.
If one was asked to prove that claim, few wines would be more appropriate than Doix 1902 Centenary Carignane. Without question, this Spanish red wine is one of the top five single varietal Carignan wines produced in the region.
This one-of-a-kind Crianza red wine is made solely from old vines, planted in 1902, on steep slate slopes in the very heart of Priorat.
Meticulously harvested and uncompromisingly selected both on site and in the facilities of the Mas Doix winery, after a traditional vinification Doix 1902 Centenary Carignane 2016 was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
Incidentally, only 3 barrels were produced, totalizing a mere 984 bottles, all of them numbered.
We suggest that you decant this red wine made from centenary vines a minimum of 2 hours before drinking.
