Product Description

In their search for the most representative Spanish terroirs, the Cusiné Family decided to create the Dominio Romano winery in the heart of Ribera del Duero. They are also the owners of Parés Baltà and Gratavinum, two companies located, respectively, in Penedès and Priorat.

In their quest for authenticity, Dominio Romano marks a significant step forward.

This organic Spanish red wine is a single varietal Tinto Fino made from over 30-year-old vineyards. The grapes come from some of the best plots in Ribera del Duero.

Meticulously harvested and traditionally vinified, Dominio Romano 2016 was aged for 12 months in 2nd year French and Hungarian oak barrels.

Decant this Crianza red wine some time before drinking.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The organic red wine Dominio Romano has a clean, bright maroon colour with a violet rim.

This varietal Tinto Fino smells of pure mulberries and blackberries, nuanced by hints of redcurrants and subtle remembrances of balsam, menthol, spices, violets and aromatic herbs. In the background, some mineral and earthy suggestions.

Fresh and complex, with a well-defined, fat-free structure and plenty of room for growth. Spices, blue flowers, wild berries, lavender, undergrowth and mineral. This Ribera del Duero red wine from bodega Dominio Romano has some velvety tannins, a crisp, uplifting acidity and a long, enticing finish.

Our personal opinion

Fresh and expressive, Dominio Romano 2016 goes far beyond the traditional Ribera del Duero style.

A serious wine indeed. Excellent, crunchy fruit. The wine has plenty of thrust and never loses momentum. Deep, with great potential for evolution.
