Grapes come from plots located at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. The low-yielding vines grow in limestone soils with extremely low levels of organic matter. Climate is mediterranean-continental.
Meticulously harvested and destemmed, the grapes were cold-soaked at a temperature of 4ºC for 3 days. Then they were added alcohol, macerated for a further 6 days and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 26ºC. Dulce Crápula was subsequently aged for 3 months in French oak barrels. Prior to its bottling, this Spanish dessert wine was clarified with egg whites and naturally filtered.
Dulce Crápula has a deep, impenetrable plum colour with ruby tinges.
Remarkable aromatic display, with notes of plums, figs, raisins, prunes, and dried apricots. Some touches of blueberry jam, along with hints of toast, pastry, cocoa and, finally, a refreshing note of menthol.
Bold, dense and smooth, a kaleidoscopic parade of black fruit flavours balanced with a fresh acidity and round, ripe tannins that give way to an elegant, velvety finish with remembrances of fresh mint, cocoa and, again, ripe black fruit.
