Made from vinyeards located in the pre-Pyrenees area, in the northern province of Huesca, Edra Grullas de Paso is produced by Bodegas Edra.

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, the grapes of this Spanish red wine were meticulously vinified and then fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Finally, Edra Grullas de Paso 2020 was aged for 4 months in French and American oak barrels.

Appearance

The red wine Edra Grullas de Paso is medium purple with a violet rim.

Nose

This blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache smells of wild berries, withered leaves, toast, chocolate, dry fruit and vanilla.

Palate

Smooth and fresh, with remembrances of ripe fruit, aromatic herbs, liquorice, coffee and spices. This wine of Bodega Edra has savoury tannins and a medium finish.

Our personal opinion

A very good value from an unknown region, Edra Grullas de Paso 2020 is drinkable and satisfying.

I found this wine by chance. Never heard of it or the winery before. It is surprisingly good, in fact very good for the price. It is amazing how many of unknown great values Spain produces.
