Product Description

This confidential and sought-after Spanish white wine is produced by Eduardo Peña, a small winery in the DO Ribeiro.

The most interesting trait of the wine Eduardo Peña is that it is entirely made from Galician native varieties, some of which were on the verge of extinction and have been fortunately recovered. Namely, the blend comprises TreixaduraAlbariñoGodelloLado and Loureira.

The grapes of this white wine from Galicia were carefully harvested by hand at the vineyards and went through a meticulous selection process. After that, they were cold macerated for a few hours with dry ice and gently crushed.

The wine was then transferred into Central European oak barrels, where it was fermented on its lees.

The white wine Eduardo Peña 2018 did not undergo malolactic fermentation to preserve its crisp acidity.

Drink through 2021.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The white wine Eduardo Peña has a straw-yellow colored body that is clean and bright.

This unique blend of Galician native grapes exhibits some intense aromas of apples, plums, quince and white flowers. There are also hints of smoke, spices and yeasts, typical of a white wine fermented in oak, as well as citrus and laurel.

Complex and elegant. Sensations of melon, apple, and ripe stone fruit wrapped in pleasant, near chalky texture that is presented along a herbal background. This Ribeiro white wine by Eduardo Peña has a smooth, silky palate that is saline, medium-bodied and very fresh. Long finish.

Our personal opinion

Very seductive, Eduardo Peña 2018 is a complex and age-worthy white wine full of local character.
