Product Description

Crafted by Bodegas Altanza, Edulis Crianza is a young Spanish red wine produced in the DOC Rioja.

A single varietal Tempranillo wine, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 28ºC.

Once fermentation was completed, the wine remained in contact with the skins and the lees for over a period of 10 days.

Subsequently transferred into French and American oak barrels, Edulis Crianza 2015 was aged for 12 months.

Finally, the wine spent 2 months in French oak vats from Allier and a further 12 months in the bottle prior to its commercial release.

Drink over the next 4 years.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The wine Edulis Crianza has a clean, bright, medium garnet-coloured robe with a violet rim.

Intense and powerful Tempranillo. Aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices and some toasted nuances, along with notions of balsam, violets and Arabica coffee, typical of a Rioja crianza.

Mild and pleasant, this wine by Bodegas Altanza has some smooth tannins and a fresh acidity. Blackberries, clove, a hint of toast, and a long finish reminiscent of violets.

Our personal opinion

The wine Edulis Crianza 2015 is an excellent value, and a perfect pairing with many Spanish dishes.
