Product Description

The entry-level Spanish red wine of Bodegas Altanza from the DOCa Rioja, Edulis Crianza is produced from vines located in Fuenmayor, at 600 metres of altitude.

A varietal Tempranillo wine, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 28ºC.

Once fermentation was completed, this Crianza red wine remained in contact with the skins and the lees for over a period of 10 days.

Subsequently transferred into new and semi-new French oak barrels, Edulis Crianza 2017 was aged for 12 months. Finally, the wine spent a further 12 months in the bottle prior to its commercial release.

Pair with pasta and meat dishes.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The wine Edulis Crianza is bright garnet with a violet rim.

Intense and powerful, this Tempranillo suggests aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices and some toasted nuances, along with notions of balsam, violets and Arabica coffee, typical of a Rioja crianza.

Mild and pleasant, this wine of Bodegas Altanza has some smooth tannins and a fresh acidity. Blackberries, clove, a hint of toast, and a long finish reminiscent of violets.
