Produced by Comando G, El Hombre Bala is one of the bottlings to the Uvas Felices collection of wines.
The 2020 vintage of this Spanish red wine is, as usual, a varietal Grenache. The grapes come from 50 to 90-year-old vines grown in granitic soils and farmed following biodynamic principles. They are located at altitudes between 900 and 1,000 metres above sea level.
Although the wine bears the Vinos de Madrid label for bureaucratic reasons, the vineyards are actually located in Sierra de Gredos (Gredos mountain range), an area which is one of Spain's hottest wine spots.
After a meticulous harvest, the grape bunches were destemmed and then fermented and macerated in wooden vats and French oak barrels. Then El Hombre Bala 2020 was aged for 10 months in 400 and 700-litre French oak barrels.
Decant this red wine from Madrid 1 hour before drinking.

| Palate | Lively and elegant, this wine from bodega Comando G suggests flavours of red berries, aniseed, aromatic herbs and sweet spices. Good acidity and polished tannins. Long finish with some underbrush remembrances and hints of flowers and menthol. |
| Our personal opinion | Fresh and intense, El Hombre Bala 2020 is a superb value and a terroir-bound Garnacha de Gredos. |

Bala wine
I really enjoyed this garnacha from Gredos. It is delicately mineral and very expressive. Excellent!!!
