Product Description

This Crianza red wine from the Madrid DO is remarkably interesting.

It is produced by Carlos Falcó, Marquis of Griñón and owner of the Marqués de Griñón winery.

Some decades ago, he was a pioneer in the introduction of international grapes in Central Spain.

El Rincón 2010 is made from an original blend of 95% Syrah and 5% Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet), grown in decomposed granite soils at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level.

Harvested by hand, the grapes were destemmed, gently macerated and fermented.

After that, the wine was aged for 10 months in new and demi-new French oak barrels.

The wine was not filtered or clarified before its bottling, so it may present some sediment.

Our personal opinion

Made from an original blend of grapes, El Rincón 2010 shows an excellent balance and an almost Atlantic freshness.

Sort of a rarity, this wine. Super juicy, with a mineral touch and little oak. Review by Karajan (Posted on 04/01/2019)
