Produced by Vall Llach, one of the most prestigious names in the DOQ Priorat, Embruix de Vall Llach is the entry-level Spanish red wine of the winery.
This red wine is made from a blend of 32% Grenache, 26% Merlot, 21% Syrah, 15% Carignan and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The grapes come from young vines planted on mild and steep slopes, composed of the slate soils typical of Priorat.
Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, with gentle pump-overs and punch-downs, and lasted 17 days. After that, this red wine from Priorat was macerated for 12 days and underwent malolactic fermentation in the tanks.
Finally, Embruix de Vall Llach 2018 was aged for 12 months in 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels of different sizes.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
