Bodegas Enate makes the wine Enate Reserva exclusively from estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. That most cosmopolitan of grape varieties has adapted remarkably well to the rugged DO Somontano terroir.
Hand-picked in early October, the grapes were fully destemmed and gently crushed. Then this red wine from Somontano was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 28ºC.
After completing malolactic fermentation, the red wine Enate Reserva 2018 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and then in tanks until it was bottled in June 2022.
Finally, this Spanish red wine was kept for over 2 years in the cellar before being released onto the market.
We suggest decanting this Reserva red wine before drinking, as it may content sediment.

Nose | This varietal Cabernet Sauvignon carries blackberries and sour cherries with some earthy underpinnings, combined with a minty note and suggestions of black pepper, vanilla pod and clove. |
Palate | Structured and fresh, with rounded tannins, a toasted note, a dash of Virginia tobacco and a subtle spicy hint. This wine of Bodegas Enate winery ends with a vegetal and smokey note. |
