Product Description

Some years ago, the Enrique Mendoza winery faced the challenge of growing Pinot Noir, the world's most glamorous red grape, in the sunny lands of southeastern Spain.

The result is Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir. A highly unlikely, refreshingly unpretentious and, most importantly, quite successful match of Burgundy with the Mediterranean.

Meticulously harvested, the grapes of this red wine from Alicante were selected and destemmed in the cellar.

Then they were fermented in stainless steel tanks under a strict temperature control.

Finally, this Spanish red wine from Alicante was aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels from Allier.

Drink  Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir 2017 from now until 2022.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir has a very bright, clean garnet colour with a ruby rim.

This Pinot Noir from Alicante is vivid and elegant. Aromas of red berries, red and blue flowers, spices, some creamy nuances and remembrances of aromatic herbs and some mineral undertones.

This is a smooth and velvety red wine by Enrique Mendoza, with a light passage and a straightforward, unmasked character. Dim nuances of wild berries, flowers and mineral. Great acidity, velvety tannins and long, balsamic finish.

Our personal opinion

An unexpected treat, Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir 2017 is extremely interesting. A wine of a delicate, subtle nature.

Mineral, salty Pinot
We Pinot Noir freaks are always looking for new wines. And what a surprise this is!! Mild, inviting, crisp, with a mineral tip and no excess of heat or oak whatsoever. Incredible price.
