Product Description
Details

Some years ago, the Enrique Mendoza winery took the challenge of growing Pinot Noir, the world's most glamorous red grape, in the sunny lands of southeastern Spain.

The result is Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir. This is a rather unlikely Spanish red wine, which nonetheless manages to merge Burgundy with the Mediterranean.

Meticulously harvested, the grapes were selected and destemmed in the cellar. Then this vegan red wine were fermented in stainless steel tanks under a strict temperature control.

Finally, Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir 2022 from DO Alicante was aged for 6 months in new and 2nd year French oak barrels from Allier.

This varietal red wine from Alicante is refreshingly unpretentious and simply delicious.

Appearance

The red wine Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir is pale ruby with a reddish rim.

Nose

This varietal Pinot Noir is vivid and elegant. Aromas of red berries, red and blue flowers, spices, some creamy nuances and remembrances of aromatic herbs and some mineral undertones.

Palate

This red wine from Bodegas Enrique Mendoza is well-defined and smooth, with a medium body and a crisp acidity. Dim nuances of wild berries and flowers that leave a medium-long mineral and balsamic aftertaste.

Our personal opinion

Fresh and subtle, Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir 2022 is simply charming

Real Pinot
Value
We moved to Spain from Oregon, home of some of the world's finest Pinot Noir. Good Pinot is hard to find in Spain at any price, but this is the real deal. And, what a price! A perfect match with grilled salmon.

Mineral, salty Pinot
Value
We Pinot Noir freaks are always looking for new wines. And what a surprise this is!! Mild, inviting, crisp, with a mineral tip and no excess of heat or oak whatsoever. Incredible price.
