White Wine Espelt Quinze Roures 2020

Manually harvested, the two varieties were separately vinified. The Grey Grenache grapes were cold macerated and delicately pressed in order not to colour the wine. The White Grenache grapes were macerated with the skins for a short time.
After that, this white wine from L'Empordà was fermented in stainless steel tanks, French oak barrels and concrete egg-shaped vats (20% of the wine).
Finally, Espelt Quinze Roures 2020 was blended and transferred into French oak barrels, where it was aged on its lees for over a period of 5 months.
Aerate the wine a bit before drinking. Serve at around 12ºC.
The wine Espelt Quinze Roures is medium straw with some grey tinges and some greenish glints.
Complex and utterly Mediterranean, this blend of White Grenache and Grey Grenache shows notes of pears, melon, pineapple and lima rind. This organic white wine has a serious mineral background, as well as notes of spices, dry fruit, aniseed and fennel.
This white wine from Espelt Viticultors is fresh and pleasant, with a tense acidity and a linear passage. Pear syrup, royal jelly, bread crust, nuts, almonds and aromatic herbs. Long finish with some remembrances of dry fruit and candied citrus, alongside some dim mineral and earthy remembrances.

Complex and substantial, Espelt Quinze Roures 2020 will pair excellently with white meat, rice dishes, and creamy cheeses.
