Produced by Estones Vins, also known as Mas Sersal, Estones PX is a rather unique Spanish white wine from the DO Terra Alta.
The reason? It is one of the very few varietal Pedro Ximénez wines made outside of Sherry country.
The 60-year-old vines were harvested by hand. Once in the cellar, they were macerated with the skins and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 36 days. After completing malolactic fermentation, this white wine from Terra Alta was aged for 6 months on lees.
Finally, the white wine Estones PX 2019 was stabilized, clarified and filtered before bottling.
Intense and characterful, this organic white wine is an extremely interesting example of the Pedro Ximénez variety.
