Details

Finca La Emperatriz Terruño is a single vineyard red wine produced solely from Rioja's queen variety, namely Tempranillo.

The grapes come from old vines grown in one of the best terroirs of the Finca La Emperatriz winery.

Manually harvested at the end of October, the wine was cold-macerated before alcoholic fermentation in order to maximize the extraction of colour and aromas.

Then the wine must was fermented for 16 days in open vats, after which it was transferred into oak barrels to complete malolactic fermentation.

Finca La Emperatriz Terruño 2015 was aged for 16 months in new and 2nd year French oak (80%) and American oak (20%) barrels.

Production of only 13,500 bottles.

Drink now until 2022+.

Decant this wine from Rioja 1 hour before drinking.
