Red Wine Fincas de Ganuza Reserva 2012

Made from a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano, the 60-year-old vines were manually harvested and selected twice. Once in the cellar, the grapes were refrigerated for 24 hours and destemmed. During the process, the upper grapes - the only ones used to produced this Spanish red wine - were separated from the lower ones.
After that, they were fermented in 7,000-litre French oak barrels and subsequently transferred into new, 95% French and 5% American oak barrels, where this Rioja red wine was aged for 24 months.
Finally, this reserve red wine was blended and aged for a further 2 years in the bottle prior to its commercial release.

The wine Fincas de Ganuza Reserva has an intense ruby colour with a brick-coloured hue at the rim.
This blend of Tempranillo and Graciano is classy and intense. Fresh fruit and spices, combined with aromas of vanilla, clove, cardamom and clove over dim mineral notions and remembrances of balsam and menthol.
A remarkable wine with an excellent balance and a lush texture this reserva by Remírez de Ganuza is smooth and pleasant, with lively notions of red fruit, blackcurrants, violets, roasted coffee, cocoa, fine leather and spices. Very good acidity and long, elegant finish.

Traditional and new at the same time, Fincas de Ganuza Reserva 2012 is an exciting wine that makes a wonderful pairing with game dishes and meat recipes.
