Details

Produced in DOQ Priorat by bodega Domini de la Cartoixa, Formiga de Seda de Clos Galena is made from White Grenache and Viognier grapes sourced from organically farmed vineyards with llicorella (slate) soils.

Each variety was separately harvested and cold macerated for 5 hours on arriving at the cellar. A portion of this Spanish white wine was fermented and aged on lees in stainless steel tanks, and the other went through alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels, after which it was aged for a period of 5 months.

Once both processes were completed, Formiga de Seda 2021 was blended, clarified with bentonite and bottled.

Pair this organic white wine from Priorat with white meat recipes, semi hard cheeses and pasta recipes,

This is lovely. Smooth and fresh, with surprising subtleness and nuance.
