Red Wine Furvus 2019
Availability: In stock
Made in DO Montsant, the new vintage of Furvus is practically a varietal Hairy Grenache (95%), complemented with a droplet of Merlot.
Produced by Vinyes Domènech, the grapes come from estate-owned, certified organic vineyards located at an altitude of 525 metres above sea level. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
After a meticulous selection of the grapes, this Spanish red wine was fermented for a period of 12 days under controlled temperature.
After that, Furvus 2019 was aged for 14 months in 1st and 2nd year American and French oak barrels.
We suggest that you decant this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.
Pair this Montsant red wine with roast recipes and BBQ'd meat.
Appearance | The red wine Furvus is medium purple with a violet rim. |

Nose | Original and evocative, this blend of Hairy Grenache and Merlot begins with an enchantingly Mediterranean note of rosemary and tarragon, evolving into wild berries, spices and mineral suggestions. There is plenty to enjoy here. |
Palate | Substantial, but not overripe or massive, this wine from Vinyes Domènech carries some delicious notes red fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, roasted coffee, balsam and some mineral remembrances. The crisp acidity tightens up the smooth texture. Finish is long, with excellent fruit and an earthy note. |
Our personal opinion | A textbook example of a wine with a bridled power, Furvus 2019 is one of Montsant's absolute best values. |
