Red Wine Goliardo Caiño 2013
Availability: Out of stock
Goliardo Caiño 2013 is a Galician red wine crafted by Rodrigo Méndez and the prestigious Raúl Pérez in the Rías Baixas DO.
This wine is a single varietal Caiño Tinto, a long forgotten indigenous variety that produces wines with exceptional acidity and Atlantic freshness.
Produced by the Forjas del Salnés winery, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks, and then completed malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
Next step was ageing the wine in those same barrels for 14 months.
A truly special wine.
Very bright, clean, intense, medium-low cherry-coloured robe with some rosy tinges.
Fragrant notions of red and blue flowers, red berries, and aromatic herbs, combined with some mineral undertones, suggestions of leather, a salty remembrance and dim remembrances of spices and toast.
Fresh, sharp and linear. Notes of violets, red cranberries, earth, salt and spices. Exceptional acidity, round tannins and long, mineral finish.
|Our personal opinion||
Is it possible for a wine to be light-bodied, drinkable, and also profound? Goliardo Caiño 2013 is the best proof that it is.
