Produced in the heart of the Basque Country by bodega Gorka Izagirre, Gorka Izagirre G22 is a varietal Spanish white wine.
Made solely from the native variety Hondarrabi Zuri Zerrate, the grapes were sourced from 2 plots of vines situated in 2 villages in DO Bizkaiko Txakolina.
Each plot was harvested by hand in October. Then the grapes were gently pressed and separately vinified in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Gorka Izagirre G22 2020 was aged on lees for some months before its bottling.
Following the tradition, this Txakolí from the Basque Country was not aged in oak to preserve its fresh and crisp character.
Utterly atlantic and extremely versatile, this white wine from Bizkaia (Biscay) is a great accompaniment to shrimp and white meat. It is also excellent without food.
