Corpinnat Gramona Argent Rosé 2016

Produced by Celler Gramona, the 2016 vintage of Gramona Argent Rosé is slightly different from the previous ones.
Usually a varietal Pinot Noir, this Spanish sparkling wine is now a blend of the former variety with a minor amount of Chardonnay. The grapes come from a single organically and biodynamically farmed vineyard, called Mas Escorpí, at 300 metres of altitude.
After reaching full ripeness, the grapes of this rosé sparkling wine were harvested by hand and selected on small sorting tables. Only the very best grapes made it into the final wine.
First, the wine must obtained through a very gentle pressing process was fermented in 600-litre French oak barrels at 15 ºC.
After that, this Brut Nature rosé was bottled, completed secondary fermentation, and was aged for a period of 30 months.
The result of this meticulous process is Gramona Argent Rosé 2016, a Corpinnat sparkler which comes in a very classy packaging.
8,214 bottles produced.
The rosé cava Gramona Argent Rosé has a clear, bright, pale salmon pink coloured body with some steely tinges.
Fresh and surprisingly lively, this Corpinnat brut nature rosé carries some intense aromas of flowers, white fruit and cherries. As this blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay opens some new and complex elements appear, such as herbs de provence, a note of aniseed, and a definite chalky mineral notion.
Smooth, confident and focused, this rosé sparkling wine of Gramona has a superb acidity and a meaty body in which bubbles are perfectly integrated. Pristine remembrances of red berries and flowers, alongside some herbal and mineral suggestions lead to a very long, complex finish.
