This is the new vintage of Gramona Imperial, the entry-level Spanish sparkling wine of the Gramona winery, which consistently delivers quality and affordability.
Selected on site and in the cellar, the grapes of this Corpinnat sparkling wine from Penedès were gently pressed and separately vinified according to the variety.
Then they were blended and bottled. Finally, Gramona Imperial 2015 was aged for 60 months and added shipping liquor after its disgorging.
The Cava Brut Gramona Imperial Brut Gran Reserva has a pale yellow colour with some golden tinges.
Ripe white fruit, nuanced by hints of citrus, flowers and aromatic herbs. As this blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, Parellada and Chardonnay opens, it suggests some remembrances of pastry, dry fruit, aniseed and citrus. Elegantly mineral background with a floral note.
Palate-coating, fresh and creamy, this Corpinnat Brut sparkler conveys flavours of pastry, flowers, aromatic herbs and ripe white fruit. Gramona Imperial has a smooth mousse, a lively acidity and a long finish, mixing some citrus and toasted remembrances.
