This interesting Spanish rosé wine is produced the Casalasierra estate, located in the town of San Martín de Unx, Navarra.
A varietal Grenache, Guerinda Casalasierra is made solely from the free-run juice, a technique known in the region as "sangrado de lágrima".
This is the juice that is released not as a result of any direct machine pressing, but as a consequence of the squeeze exerted by the weight of the fruit when the grapes are stacked on top of each other. When the wine must acquired the desired colour, it was separated from the skins only through gravity.
The vinification of Guerinda Casalasierra 2020, produced by the Máximo Abete winery, was carried out in stainless steel tanks. After completing fermentation, the wine was bottled and kept for a brief time in the cellar before hitting the market.
The rosé wine Guerinda Casalasierra has a bright rosy colour with a violet rim.
This varietal Grenache smells of red fruit and raspberry jam, with some hints of strawberry yoghourt and remembrances of aromatic herbs.
This wine from the Máximo Abete winery is juicy, with notes of candies, citrus, tropical fruit and herbs. This young rosé wine from Navarra has a lively acidity and a long, fruity finish.
