Produced in DO Ribera del Duero, Hito (which can be translated as "milestone") is the entry-level Spanish red wine of Bodegas Cepa 21.

This varietal Tempranillo comes from a single vineyard situated in Castrillo de Duero, in the province of Valladolid. The 2020 vintage was considered "Excellent" by the Ribera del Duero regulatory board.

The grapes were carefull harvested, and then this red wine from Ribera del Duero were fermented in stainless steel tanks for a period of 30 days.

After that, Hito 2020 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Pair this Crianza red wine with Ibérico ham, cold meats o roast recipes.

Appearance

The red wine Hito is medium purple with a bluish hue.

Nose

This is a fresh and expressive Tempranillo. Aromas of black fruit, toast and balsam, with some spicy touches.

Palate

This wine from Bodegas Cepa 21 is lively and uncomplicated, with flavours of wild berries, smooth tannins and very good freshness. Crisp, long finish.
