Made from a blend of Macabeo and Parellada, complemented with a touch of Pinot Noir, Huguet Brut Nature is an amazingly priced Corpinnat Spanish sparkling wine produced by Huguet de Can Feixes.
Sorted from vineyards located in Alt Penedès, the grapes were picked by hand and meticulously selected. Gently pressed, only the "free-run" juice was used to produce this organic sparkling wine.
Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. Then Huguet Brut Nature 2015 was bottled to complete secondary fermentation, after which it was aged for a period of 84 months.
No shipping liquor was added to this Corpinnat sparkling wine. The disgorging date is printed on the back label.

Nose | Very much alive despite having been aged for over 6 years, this Corpinnat sparkler carries some aromas of ripe pears, citrus and aromatic herbs, with some tips of pastry, butter and balsam. This blend of Macabeo, Parellada and Pinot Noir has a subtle balsamic background. |
Palate | Light and crisp, with palate-caressing bubbles and an dry character which makes it very inviting. Remembrances of bone fruit, citrus, bitter herbs and an intimation of flowers. This sparkling wine of Huguet de Can Feixes has a long, complex finish. |
