Isabel Negra 2012 is a confidential, impressively elegant Spanish red wine from Penedès produced by the Raventós i Blanc winery.
The grapes were harvested by hand and meticulously selected.
Then they were cold-macerated and underwent both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
After that, the wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and blended.
Finally, this red wine from Penedès by Raventós i Blanc was aged for a further 12 months in the bottle prior to its release.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
Drink now until 2021.
Isabel Negra has a medium-high cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
This red wine from Penedès has a precise, polished nose. Juicy aromas of red and black fruit, combined with notes of Havanna cigars, cocoa, menthol, toast, white pepper, cedar and blue flowers.
Elegant, silky and showing a remarkable improvement potential. This red wine by Raventós i Blanc is well-defined, with a tense acidity and savoury tannins. Excellent balance between fruit and oak. Long finish with some balsamic and spicy remembrances.
