Elegant and confidential, Isabel Negra is produced by Raventós i Blanc in DO Penedès. The grapes are sourced from vineyards composed of limestone soils peppered with marine fossils.
The composition of the 2018 vintage of this Spanish red wine is a totally indigenous blend of 50% Sumoll and 50% Grenache. This is an excellent combination in that Sumoll is a high acid variety, while Grenache is lush and fruit-forward.
The grapes were harvested by hand, meticulously selected and cold-macerated. Then this red wine from Penedès went through alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Isabel Negra 2018 was aged for 8 months in French oak barrels. Then was blended and aged for a further 8 months in the bottle before hitting the market.
Aerate this Crianza red wine some time before drinking.

Nose | This blend of Sumoll and Grenache has a precise and polished nose. Juicy aromas of strawberries, mulberries and raspberries, with notes red peppercorn, flowers, spices and aromatic herbs. |
Palate | This wine of Raventós i Blanc is crisp and very fresh. Excellent balance between fruit and oak, with a citrusy acidity, a lively mid-palate and a long finish with some remembrances of flowers, herbs and sour cherries. |
