Product Description
Details

Made from a blend which is rather uncommon in Penedès, Jean Leon 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot is produced by the Jean Leon winery.

Specifically, this Spanish red wine combines Merlot -coming from a 8-hectare estate planted in 1997-, and Petit Verdot, coming from a 12-hectare estate planted in 2006.

The grapes were carefully harvested and separately vinified. First, they were fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then, this organic red wine was macerated for two weeks with the grape skins. After that, Jean Leon 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot 2018 was aged for 3 months in French oak barrels.

Finally, this young red wine was aged for a couple of months in the bottle before its market release.
