Product Description
Details

A surprising Spanish white wine made from Moscatel de Grano Menudo (aka Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains), the wine Juan Gil Blanco comes from DO Jumilla

Produced by the Juan Gil winery, known for its Monastrell wines, this organic and vegan white wine is sourced from vineyards planted over 700 metres of altitude.

Fermented in stainless steel tanks, oak barrels and concrete diposits, the wine Juan Gil Blanco 2023 was aged for some weeks before bottling.

This varietal white wine from Jumilla is fresh and fruit-driven.

Appearance

The white wine Juan Gil Blanco is medium yellow with greenish tinges.

Nose

Primary aromas of peaches and apricots, with hints of citrus and pineapple. In the background, this varietal Moscatel de grano menudo (Muscat blanc à petit grains) suggests a note of aromatic herbs and dry earth.

Palate

This white wine of the Juan Gil winery suggests lime, white flowers and bone fruit. Well-balanced, linear and pleasantly dry, with a very good acidity and a lively finish.

Our personal opinion

An uncommon dry Muscat, the wine Juan Gil Blanco 2023 pairs excellently with rice dishes and seafood.

A nice take on Moscatel. Super dry and edgy, but not austere. Excellent with tapas and shrimp.
