Like all the wines of bodega Celler Frisach, L'Anit de Frisach is a wine which could be defined as "retrofuturist", because it casts a glance back into the past to imagine the future.
A single vineyard old-vines Carignan, this Spanish red wine was produced from over 80-year-old vines. Organically farmed, they are located near the village of Corbera d’Ebre, in the heart of DO Terra Alta, Catalonia's westernmost wine producing area.
Hand-harvested, the grapes were vinified in concrete diposits. This red wine from Terra Alta was first macerated for a brief period of time and then fermented under controlled temperature.
After that, L'Anit de Frisach 2021 was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
This one-of-a-kind organic red wine will pair excellently with meat dishes and hearty rice recipes.

| Palate | Judiciously, this wine from Celler Frisach saw no oak whatsoever. The depth and complexity of this Carignan thus appears in all its glory. Supple and lifted, bursting with enegy, but also very delicate and nuanced, leading up to a deeply mineral, slightly bitter finish. |
