Red Wine L'Avi Arrufí 2016

This red wine is made from a blend of mostly Carignan, with some Grenache and a 10% Syrah, coming from 45 to 55 year old vines located at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level, and planted in clay-limestone soils with very low levels of organic matter.
Each variety was harvested at its optimal ripening state and meticulously selected.
After that, this red wine from Terra Alta completed a traditional vinification process and was aged for a period of 16 months in new French and American oak barrels.
Before its commercial release, L'Avi Arrufí 2016 was aged for a minimum of 2 years in the bottle.
Decant this age-worthy red wine no less than 1 hour before drinking.
The red wine L'Avi Arrufí is high purple with a violet rim.
Bold, deep and really complex, this blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah embodies the best side of the Mediterranean exuberance. Intense notes of ripe red fruit, wild berries, toast, cocoa, leather, pepper grains, and some flowery nuances and mineral undertones.
Powerful and characteristic, this wine of Celler Piñol has a velvety body and a refreshing, well-balanced acidity. It is both elegant and terroir-bound, with mild, creamy tannins and a long, harmonious finish with notes of fruit and some mineral and toasted echoes.
