An interesting feature about this L'Abrunet de Frisach Blanc is that the grapes were harvested twice.
The first harvest took place when the grapes had reached an alcohol level of 11.5%. The second one was carried out when the alcohol percentage was of 14%.
Thus, the first batch of grapes brought acidity and freshness to the wine, while the second batch provided body and volume.
After the harvest, this white wine from Terra Alta by Celler Frisach was traditionally vinified.
Prior to its bottling, L'Abrunet de Frisach Blanc 2018 was not filtered or stabilized.
The white wine L'Abrunet de Frisach Blanc has a bright, pale yellow colour with some golden tinges.
Showing a well-defined varietal character, this white wine by Celler Frisach suggests fresh aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, aromatic herbs, aniseed and flowers over a mineral background. An expressive varietal White Grenache.
The wine L'Abrunet made from Vernatxa Blanca is well balanced and tremendously enjoyable, with a great acidity and a delicately bitter character. Citrus, white flowers, herbs and touches of dry earth. Clean, medium finish.
