Product Description

A single varietal Albariño, Galicia's best known white grape, Lagar de Cervera is produced by Lagar de Fornelos, a branch of the La Rioja Alta Group.

The grapes of this Spanish white wine come from vineyards scattered over the Salnés county, surrounded by beautiful forests along the course of the Miño river, at the very heart of the DO Rías Baixas.

Harvested by hand, the grapes were first cooled and then macerated at 10ºC for about 10 hours. Then they were destemmed and crushed.

Drawn-off, the wine must was fermented at 15ºC. Afterwards, 10% of this Albariño from Rías Baixas underwent malolactic fermentation.

Finally, Lagar de Cervera 2019 was aged on its lees to improve its creaminess and roundness.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The white wine Lagar de Cervera has a bright waxy colour with some greenish tinges.

This expressive white wine from Rías Baixas smells of passion fruit, grapefruit, orange rind and white flowers, nuanced by hints of bone fruit, hay and apples.

Fresh and smooth, this varietal Albariño by Lagar de Fornelos has a delicately unctuous body and an excellent acidity. Ripe peaches, a dash of citrus and aromatic herbs and suggestions of jasmine and white roses. Long finish with some bitter remembrances.

Our personal opinion

Seafood, Japanese food, rice dishes and Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare will all be excellent companions of this Lagar de Cervera 2019.
