Product Description

This single varietal Grenache is crafted by the Viñedos del Jalón winery.

It is made from old, over 60-year-old Grenache vineyards grown in the region of Calatayud, in soils composed of slate and gravel.

Selected on site and in the cellar, the grapes were cold-soaked and fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Malolactic fermentation was carried out in 2nd year French oak barrels. Afterwards, Las Pizarras 2011 was aged for 11 months.

Drink until 2019.

Decant 30 minutes before drinking.

This Garnacha born in slate soils feels super authentic, intense and deep. Minerality is very present and it gives the wine a special touch.
